How to Draw a Kawaii Penguin
Draw a kawaii penguin in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: round body.
Step 1: Round body
Draw a big round egg that fills most of your paper, a little wider at the bottom.
Tip Head and body are one shape. That is what makes it so cute.
Step 2: Face and tummy
Inside the egg draw a smaller egg. Dip its top down to a little point in the middle.
Step 3: Huge shiny eyes
Draw 2 big ovals, wide apart. Colour them black, leaving a big and a small white shine in each.
Tip Big eyes set wide apart are the kawaii secret.
Step 4: Tiny beak
Between the eyes, a little lower, draw a tiny beak like a soft diamond.
Step 5: Rosy cheeks
Draw a small flat oval under the outside corner of each eye.
Tip Keep the cheeks inside the white face.
Step 6: Tiny wings
Start on each side of the body. Draw a tiny wing pointing down and out, back to the body.
Step 7: Tiny feet
At the bottom draw 2 small feet. Give each one 3 round toes.
Tip The feet sit in front of the body, so rub out the body line inside them.
Step 8: Snowy ground
Start at the left. Draw a line under the feet. Stop at the right.
Step 9: Pink cheeks
Colour the 2 cheek ovals pink.
Step 10: Orange beak and feet
Colour the beak and the 2 feet orange.
Step 11: Dark blue penguin
Colour the body and wings dark blue, around the face. Leave the face and tummy white.
Tip Leave the shines in the eyes white too.
