How to Draw a Chibi Bird
Draw a chibi bird in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.
Step 1: Big round head
Near the top, draw a big round head, a little wider than tall.
Tip A chibi head is bigger than the body.
Step 2: Feather tuft
On top of the head, draw 3 little feathers standing up, the middle one tallest.
Step 3: Big shiny eyes
In the middle of the head, draw 2 big oval eyes. Colour a black pupil with 2 shines in each.
Tip Leave the eyes white around the pupils.
Step 4: Little beak
Between the eyes, a little lower, draw a small beak like a triangle pointing down.
Step 5: Tiny body
Under the head, draw a small round body, like an egg. It hides behind the chin.
Tip Keep the body smaller than the head.
Step 6: Round tummy
Inside the body, draw a smaller egg for the tummy.
Step 7: Tiny wings
On each side of the body, draw a tiny leaf wing pointing out and down.
Step 8: Little feet
Under the body, draw 2 little feet. Each one has 3 round toes.
Step 9: Ground line
Start left of the feet. Draw a flat ground line under them and stop on the right.
Step 10: Cream and pink
Colour the tummy cream. Colour 2 round cheeks pink, one under each eye.
Step 11: Orange beak
Colour the beak and the 2 feet orange.
Step 12: Light blue feathers
Colour the head and body light blue, around the eyes, beak, cheeks and tummy. Leave the wings white.
Step 13: Dark blue wings
Colour the 2 wings and the feather tuft dark blue. Your chibi bird is done!
