Terms of service

The rules, in plain English

Squigglings is a free collection of step-by-step drawing lessons for kids and their grown-ups. By using the website or the Squigglings apps you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose; if anything here is unclear, get in touch and ask.

What Squigglings is

  • Free drawing lessons. Squigglings shows you how to draw things a few lines at a time. The website and apps are provided free of charge, with no accounts, no ads and no in-app purchases.
  • Made to be used together. The site is intended for children to use with a parent, carer or teacher. A grown-up should decide whether Squigglings is right for the kids in their care and keep an eye on how it is used.
  • No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for. Anything you save (favourites, checked-off steps) lives only on your own device.

Using Squigglings nicely

Please use Squigglings only for drawing, learning and teaching. In particular, don’t:

  • try to break, overload, probe or interfere with the site, the apps or the servers they run on;
  • scrape, bulk-download, mirror or automatically copy the lessons, images or other content;
  • republish the lessons, or pass them off as your own, on another site, app, book or product;
  • use the site in a way that breaks any law or anyone else’s rights.

Who owns what

  • The lessons are ours. The step-by-step lessons, the drawings in them, the text, the Squigglings name and mascot, and the website and app code are © Squigglings and protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. You may view, print and follow them for personal, family and classroom use; you may not reproduce, sell or redistribute them without our permission.
  • Your drawings are yours. Anything a child (or grown-up) draws by following a lesson belongs to the person who drew it. Put it on the fridge, frame it, share it, sell it at the school fair; we claim no rights in it and we never see it.
  • Printables. Printable sheets may be printed and copied for personal, home-school and classroom use. They may not be sold or bundled into paid products.

No promises

Squigglings is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it accurate, friendly and online, but we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the lessons will suit any particular purpose, that the site will always be available or error-free, or that a drawing will turn out the way the picture shows. Drawing is practice; wobbly lines are part of it.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Squigglings and the people who make it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the website or apps. Because the service is free, if we are ever found liable to you for anything, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us to use Squigglings, which is nothing. Some places don’t allow some of these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.

Children and grown-ups

Squigglings is made for children but, like crayons, it is meant to be handed over by an adult. Parents, carers and teachers are responsible for supervising the children they let use the site. We collect no personal information from anyone, children included; our privacy policy explains exactly what does and doesn’t happen when you visit.

Links to other places

If the website ever links to another site (for example an app store), that site has its own rules and we are not responsible for it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, the new version will be posted here with a new date, and continuing to use Squigglings after that means you accept the updated terms. Last updated: 20 August 2026.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [State/Country], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
