How to Draw a Dinosaur Face
Draw a dinosaur face in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Draw a big head like a fat bean lying down, with a long round snout on the left.
Tip Fill most of the page, and keep the snout end soft and round.
Step 2: Big eye and brow
Near the front, above the middle, draw a big round eye with a black dot. Add a brow above it.
Tip Leave a white shine in the dot. Keep the brow off the eye.
Step 3: Mouth and nostril
Draw a smiling banana mouth from the snout tip back under the eye. Add a tiny oval nostril above.
Tip Flat on top, round underneath, like a slice of melon.
Step 4: Pointy teeth
Hang 3 pointy triangle teeth from the top lip, inside the mouth, a little apart.
Step 5: Head plates
Draw 3 pointy plates standing up on the top and back of the head, the front one biggest.
Tip Each plate starts and stops on the head line, like a rounded triangle.
Step 6: Cheek spots
Draw 3 little oval spots on the cheek behind the eye, one above the other in a gentle curve.
Step 7: Yellow plates
Colour the 3 plates yellow with your crayon.
Step 8: Pink mouth
Colour the inside of the mouth pink, leaving the teeth white.
Step 9: Colour it green
Colour the head green, around the plates, mouth and spots. Leave the eye and teeth white.
Step 10: Dark green spots
Colour the 3 cheek spots darker green.
