How to Draw Flexing Muscles
Draw flexing muscles in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, in the middle, draw an egg head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: The face
Below the middle of the head draw 2 big eyes. Add a U nose, a big proud grin and eyebrows.
Step 3: Soft hair cap
Start on the left side, level with the eyebrows. Draw round tufts over the top, down to the right side.
Tip Round bumps like little clouds, not spikes.
Step 4: Neck and T-shirt
Draw 2 neck lines under the chin. From the left one draw a T-shirt, back up to the right one.
Step 5: Arms out
From under each sleeve draw a line out to a round elbow, then up, stopping level with the mouth.
Step 6: Forearms up and fists
On each arm draw a mitten fist with a thumb curve. From it draw a line down to shoulder height.
Step 7: Bicep bumps
From the top of each sleeve draw a big round bicep hill over to the forearm line.
Tip The bigger the hill, the stronger the flex!
Step 8: Trousers
Start at the T-shirt's bottom left corner. Draw 2 long trouser legs, ending back at the right corner.
Tip The legs reach nearly to the bottom of the page.
Step 9: Shoes
Under each trouser leg draw a shoe, toe pointing out: a round heel, a flat sole, a long round toe.
Step 10: Belt and ground
Draw a belt across the top of the trousers, from side to side. Add a ground line under the shoes.
Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, neck, arms and fists peach, with a pink circle on each cheek. Keep the eyes white.
Step 12: Red shirt, blue trousers
Colour the T-shirt red and the trousers blue.
Step 13: Brown hair and shoes
Colour the hair and the shoes brown. Go over your lines and your strong person is done: flex!
