How to Draw a Race Car Driver

Step 1: Egg head

Near the top, a little left of the middle, draw an egg for the head.

Tip Leave room on the right for the trophy.

Step 2: Friendly face

On the head, draw 2 oval eyes with black dots. Add a tiny nose and a big smile.

Tip Leave a white shine in each eye.

Step 3: Short hair

Draw the hair over the top of the head, with a wavy fringe across the forehead.

Tip Rub out the head line inside the hair.

Step 4: Racing suit

Draw a collar and 2 short shoulders. Start below one, draw the sides and 2 legs, stop below the other.

Tip Leave a gap under each shoulder for an arm.

Step 5: Belt and number

Draw 2 lines across the waist for a belt. On the chest, draw a circle with a number 1.

Step 6: Two arms

Start at each shoulder, stop at the side. Draw the right arm up and the left arm down, both bent.

Tip Each arm gets thinner towards the wrist.

Step 7: Two hands

On the raised arm, draw a fist with a thumb. On the low arm, draw a mitten hand pointing down.

Step 8: The helmet

Tuck a round helmet under the low arm, above the hand. Add a long visor. Rub out the lines inside.

Step 9: The trophy

Above the fist, draw a U cup on a stem. Start each C handle at the rim, stop lower down.

Step 10: Boots and ground

Under each leg, draw a rounded boot, toes pointing out. Draw a ground line under them.

Step 11: Peach and pink

Colour the face and both hands peach. Add 2 pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.

Step 12: Gold and brown

Colour the trophy cup yellow like gold. Colour the hair brown.

Step 13: Blue and red

Colour the helmet blue and the suit red. Leave the collar, belt and number circle white.

Step 14: Black boots

Colour the boots and the helmet visor black. Go over your lines, and your champion is done!
