How to Draw a Chihuahua Sleeping
Draw a Chihuahua sleeping in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: round apple head.
Step 1: Round apple head
On the left draw a round head, a little wider than tall.
Tip Leave lots of room above it for the ears.
Step 2: Closed eyes
Across the middle of the head draw 2 small U shapes for sleeping eyes.
Tip Leave a gap as wide as one eye between them.
Step 3: Tiny snout
Low on the head draw a small oval snout. Add a black nose on top and a W smile.
Step 4: Huge ears
On each top corner of the head draw a huge tall ear with a rounded tip.
Tip Chihuahua ears are almost as tall as the head.
Step 5: Inside the ears
Inside each ear draw a smaller ear shape, down to the head line.
Tip Keep an even rim all the way round.
Step 6: Front paws
Under the chin draw 2 small round paws with flat bottoms. Add 2 toe lines to each.
Tip The head is resting on the paws.
Step 7: Curled-up body
Start behind the right ear. Draw a round back over and down, then along the bottom. Stop at the paws.
Tip The body is small, about as big as the head.
Step 8: Back leg
Start on the bottom of the body. Draw a big hill up and over. Stop on the back line.
Step 9: Thin tail
From the back draw a thin tail that wraps along the bottom of the body to a small tip.
Tip Rub out the body line inside the tail.
Step 10: Soft cushion
Under the dog draw a long flat cushion with round corners. Add a curved line along its front.
Tip Start at the left paw, go round underneath and stop at the tail.
Step 11: Sleepy zzz
Draw 3 letter Z shapes floating up, each one bigger than the last.
Step 12: Cream and pink
Colour the snout and front paws cream. Colour the insides of the ears pink.
Step 13: Tan fur
Colour the head, the ears, the body and the tail tan.
Step 14: Blue cushion
Colour the cushion blue, all the way to its edges. Your sleeping chihuahua is done!
