How to Draw a Chibi Octopus
Draw a chibi octopus in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.
Step 1: Big round head
Near the top, draw a big round head like a dome, a little wider low down.
Tip A chibi head is much bigger than the arms.
Step 2: Big shiny eyes
Low on the head, draw 2 big round eyes. Add a ring, a black dot and 2 shines in each.
Tip Huge shiny eyes make it chibi.
Step 3: Little smile
Between the eyes, a little lower, draw a small U smile.
Step 4: Two middle arms
Under the middle of the head, draw 2 fat arms straight down. Curl each thin tip outwards.
Tip Fat at the head, thin at the curly tip.
Step 5: Two more arms
Beside them, draw 2 more arms down and out. Curl the tips outwards too.
Step 6: Two slanting arms
Next, draw 2 arms slanting out to the sides. Curl each tip up.
Step 7: Two side arms
Last, draw 2 short arms straight out from the sides of the head. Curl the tips up.
Tip Count them: 4 arms on each side makes 8.
Step 8: Three spots
On top of the head, draw 1 round spot in the middle and a smaller spot on each side.
Step 9: Seabed line
Start left of the arms. Draw a flat seabed line under the curly tips and stop on the right.
Step 10: Pink and teal
Colour the 3 spots pink and add 2 round pink cheeks. Colour the eye rings teal.
Step 11: Purple octopus
Colour the head and all 8 arms purple, around the pink. Leave the eye whites white.
