How to Draw an Octopus Face
Draw an octopus face in 9 easy steps, about 7 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: dome head.
Step 1: Dome head
Draw a big dome head filling most of the page, like an upside-down bowl with round corners.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Below the middle of the head, draw 2 big round eyes, an eye apart, with black dots and white shines.
Step 3: Tiny smile
A little below the eyes, start under the left eye. Draw a small smile and stop under the right eye.
Step 4: Curly tentacles
From the bottom of the head, draw 6 tentacles, 3 each side, getting thinner and curling like commas.
Tip Start the outer two on the sides of the head. Rub out the head line where each tentacle joins.
Step 5: Eyebrows
Above each eye, draw a short eyebrow curve, not touching the eye.
Step 6: Suckers
Draw little round suckers inside the tentacles, one or two on each, away from the edges.
Step 7: Rosy cheeks
Draw a little oval blush on each cheek, beside the eye, and colour it pink.
Step 8: Pink suckers
Colour the suckers pink.
Step 9: Colour the octopus purple
Colour the head and tentacles purple, around the pink cheeks and suckers. Leave the eyes white.
