How to Draw a Panda Sleeping
Draw a panda sleeping in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big wide head.
Step 1: Big wide head
On the left draw a big head like an egg on its side, wider than tall.
Tip Leave room on the right for the body.
Step 2: Round ears
On each top corner of the head draw a round ear.
Step 3: Eye patches
Draw 2 big egg patches below the middle of the head. They lean in at the top.
Step 4: Closed eyes
Inside each patch draw a thin banana shape, curving down, for a sleeping eye.
Tip This thin shape stays white when the patch is black.
Step 5: Nose and smile
Between the patches draw a small black nose. From it draw a short line down and a smile each way.
Step 6: Shoulder and arm
Start behind the head. Draw a fat arm down, then along under the chin to a round paw.
Tip The chin rests on the arm.
Step 7: Round body
Start behind the right ear. Draw a low round back over to the right and down to the ground.
Tip The body is a soft mound, lower than the head.
Step 8: Back leg
On the right end draw a round thigh with a short foot pointing left, flat on the ground.
Tip Rub out the body line inside the leg.
Step 9: Sleepy zzz
Above the body draw 3 letter Z shapes floating up, each one bigger than the last.
Step 10: Grass line
Draw a long straight line along the bottom of the panda, from the far left to the far right.
Step 11: Green grass
Colour the grass under the line green.
Step 12: Black fur
Colour the ears, eye patches, arm and back leg black. Leave the eyes, head and body white.
