How to Draw a Chibi Clown

Draw a chibi clown in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.

Step 1: Big round head
Above the middle of the page, draw a big round head, a little wider than tall.
Tip A chibi head is about half of the whole clown. Leave room on top for a hat.
Step 2: Big eyes
Halfway down the head, draw 2 big oval eyes. Add a black pupil and 2 shines in each.
Step 3: Nose and smile
Between the eyes, draw a round ball nose. Under it, draw a wide smile from cheek to cheek.
Step 4: Hair tufts
On each side of the head, draw a fluffy tuft of hair with 3 round bumps.
Tip Start and stop each tuft on the head line.
Step 5: Little hat
On top of the head, draw a flat hat brim with round ends. Add a small round hat above it.
Step 6: Hat flower
On the side of the hat, draw a flower: a small circle with 5 round petals all around it.
Step 7: Ruffle collar
Under the chin, draw a wavy ruffle with 5 round bumps, from one cheek to the other.
Step 8: Suit and buttons
From the ruffle, draw a round suit down to 2 short legs. Add 2 big buttons down the middle.
Tip Draw an upside-down U between the legs.
Step 9: Two arms
From each shoulder, draw a short sleeve out to the side. Add a round hand on the end.
Step 10: Big shoes
Under each leg, draw a huge shoe with a fat round toe pointing out to the side.
Step 11: Ground line
Start left of the shoes. Draw a flat ground line under them and stop past the right shoe.
Step 12: Peach and pink
Colour 2 pink cheeks. Colour the face and 2 hands peach, around the nose. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Yellow and orange
Colour the suit, sleeves, legs and flower middle yellow, around the buttons. Colour the 2 hair tufts orange.
Step 14: Blue and red
Colour the hat and ruffle blue. Colour the nose, flower, 2 buttons and 2 shoes red.
