How to Draw a Caveman
Draw a caveman in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 small eyes, a U nose, a smile and eyebrows. Each C ear starts and ends on the head.
Step 3: Messy hair and bone
From above the left ear, draw soft tufts over to the right ear. Add a hairline and a fat bone.
Step 4: Neck and fur tunic
Add 2 neck lines. From the left one, draw a ragged one-sleeve tunic round to the right. Add 3 spots.
Step 5: Arms
Draw each arm down to the wrist, getting narrower: from the left sleeve, from the neck over the right shoulder.
Step 6: Mitten hands
Start on one arm line, draw a round mitten hand with a little thumb, and stop on the other.
Step 7: Legs
From under the hem, draw 2 lines for each leg down to the ankle, getting narrower, with a soft knee.
Step 8: Bare feet and ground
From one leg line, draw a bare foot with 3 toe bumps, round to the other. Add a ground line.
Step 9: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour pink cheeks, then the face, ears, neck, arms, legs and feet peach around them. Leave eyes and bone white.
Step 10: Brown tunic and hair
Colour the tunic and the hair brown, around the spots and the bone.
Step 11: Black spots
Colour the 3 spots black. Go over your lines and your caveman is done!
