How to Draw a Snow Angel
Draw a snow angel in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, draw an egg for the head, narrower at the chin. We are looking down.
Tip Leave room all around: the arms and legs spread out wide.
Step 2: The face
Below the middle of the head, draw 2 big oval eyes with dots. Add a nose and a big smile.
Step 3: Knit hat
Above the eyes, draw a wide band across the forehead. Add a dome over the head and a pompom.
Step 4: Puffy coat
Under the chin, draw a big puffy coat like a fat egg, from the chin round the bottom and back.
Step 5: Arms swept up
From each shoulder, draw a sleeve out and up to the hand, with a soft bend at the elbow.
Step 6: Mittens
At the end of each sleeve, draw a round mitten with a little thumb bump pointing up.
Step 7: Legs spread wide
From the coat, draw 2 legs in a wide V, getting thinner down to a line at each ankle.
Step 8: Boots
At the end of each leg, draw a chunky boot: a heel, a sole, and a fat toe pointing out.
Step 9: Angel in the snow
Start above the pompom. Draw round the hat, over the mittens, in at the waist, round the boots, and back.
Tip The big bumps over the mittens are the wings, and the wide bottom is the skirt.
Step 10: Snow specks
Dot 4 little snow specks in the snow outside the angel.
Step 11: Peach face, pink cheeks
Colour the face peach, with a pink circle on each cheek. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Red hat, blue coat
Colour the hat band, dome and mittens red, leaving the pompom white. Colour the coat and sleeves blue.
Step 13: Green pants, brown boots
Colour the legs green for snow pants and the boots brown. Leave the snow white. Your snow angel is done!
