Print

  1. Step 1: Big round head

On the left draw a big round head. Make the front a short blunt snout.

Tip A baby has a big head and a short snout.

  2. Step 2: Body and tail

Start on the head. Draw a long back, a thin curly tail and a belly. Stop at the chin.

Tip The tail is as long as the head and body together.

  3. Step 3: Huge eye

In the middle of the head draw a huge round eye. Colour a big black dot inside, leaving a shine.

Tip Leave the rest of the eye white.

  4. Step 4: Smile and cheek

Start at the snout. Draw a long smile. Stop under the eye. Add a nose dot and a cheek circle.

  5. Step 5: Low spines

Start behind the head. Draw 6 little bumps along the back. Stop above the back leg.

Tip Keep them low and round.

  6. Step 6: Front leg

On the body near the head draw a bent leg down. Finish it with 4 long toes spread out.

Tip The elbow points back, towards the tail.

  7. Step 7: Back leg

Near the tail draw a bigger bent leg down. Finish it with 4 long toes spread out.

Tip The knee points forward, towards the head.

  8. Step 8: Far feet

Under the chin draw 1 more thin leg with 3 toes. Draw another behind the back leg.

  9. Step 9: Thin twig

Under the toes draw a long thin twig from left to right. Skip over the toes and the tail.

  10. Step 10: Tail stripes

Draw 8 short lines across the tail to make 4 stripes.

Tip Each stripe is a pair of lines close together.

  11. Step 11: Bright green

Colour the head, body, legs and tail bright green. Leave the eye and the 4 stripes white.

  12. Step 12: Dark stripes

Colour the spines and the 4 tail stripes dark green.

  13. Step 13: Brown twig

Colour the twig brown. Your baby iguana is done!
