How to Draw a Wormhole
Draw a wormhole in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tunnel opening.
Step 1: The tunnel opening
Near the middle of your paper draw a big wide oval, with space all round it.
Tip You are looking into a tunnel through space.
Step 2: The far end
A little above the middle of the big oval, draw a small oval the same shape for the far end.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Inside the small oval, above its middle, draw 2 big egg eyes. Add black dots with tiny shines.
Step 4: An open smile
Under the eyes draw an open smile: a short line across with a U hanging under it.
Step 5: The next ring
Draw an oval inside the big one. Keep it close at the top and further in at the bottom.
Tip The rings bunch up at the top, so the tunnel looks deep.
Step 6: The last ring
Draw one more oval between that ring and the far end, again closer at the top.
Step 7: Two swooshes
In the outside ring draw 2 thin pointy swooshes, curving round the same way. Keep them off the lines.
Tip The swooshes make the tunnel spin.
Step 8: Five big stars
Around the tunnel draw 5 big stars with fat points, 3 above and 1 in each bottom corner.
Step 9: Yellow stars
Colour the 5 stars yellow.
Step 10: Light blue rim
Colour the outside ring light blue, around the 2 swooshes.
Step 11: Blue ring
Colour the next ring in blue.
Step 12: Purple ring and swooshes
Colour the ring around the far end purple, and the 2 swooshes purple too.
Step 13: Navy far end
Go over your lines. Colour the far end navy around the face. Leave the eyes and mouth white.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a wormhole, drawn by you.
