How to Draw a Woman
Draw a woman in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the dress and legs.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 round eyes with black dots and a tiny lash each. Add a nose, a smile and eyebrows.
Step 3: Hair and fringe
Start by the left eyebrow. Draw hair over the head, down to the right eyebrow, then across for a fringe.
Step 4: Long hair
From each temple let the hair flow down past the cheek to the shoulder, then back up to the fringe.
Step 5: Neck and dress
Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one draw a sleeve and a long wide dress, ending at the right.
Tip Add 2 belt lines across the waist.
Step 6: Arms
Start at each sleeve and draw 2 lines down for the arm, closer together at the wrist. Stop there.
Step 7: Mitten hands
From the outer arm line draw a round mitten with a thumb pointing in. Stop on the inner line.
Step 8: Legs and shoes
Start on the hem. Draw 2 short lines down for each leg and stop. Add a shoe under each leg.
Step 9: Necklace, strands and ground
Draw a bead under the chin, a long curve in each side of the hair, and a ground line.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink, then the face, neck, arms, hands and legs peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Teal dress, yellow belt
Colour the belt and the bead yellow, then the dress teal around them.
Step 12: Brown hair, black shoes
Colour the hair brown and the shoes black. Go over your lines and your woman is done.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a woman, drawn by you.
