How to Draw a Boy
Draw a boy in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 eyes, a nose and a smile. Add a C ear each side, from the head back to it.
Step 3: Tufty hair
Start above the left ear and draw round tufts over the head, down to the right ear. Add a hairline.
Tip Soft round bumps, the middle ones tallest.
Step 4: Neck and T-shirt
Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one draw a T-shirt with sleeves round to the right. Add a stripe.
Step 5: Arms
From each sleeve draw 2 lines down to the wrist, with a gentle bend at the elbow.
Step 6: Mitten hands
Under each arm draw a round mitten hand, like the bottom of an egg, with a little thumb pointing in.
Step 7: Shorts
Start at the T-shirt's bottom left corner. Draw short shorts with 2 legs, ending at the bottom right corner.
Step 8: Legs and socks
From each shorts leg draw 2 lines, closer at the ankle, stopping near the bottom. Add a sock curve.
Step 9: Sneakers and ground
Under each leg draw a sneaker with the toe pointing out. Draw a ground line under the shoes.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, ears, neck, arms, hands and legs peach, with pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Green shirt, navy shorts
Colour the T-shirt green, leaving the stripe white, and colour the shorts navy.
Step 12: Ginger hair, red sneakers
Colour the hair ginger and the sneakers red, leaving the socks white. Go over your lines and you're done.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a boy, drawn by you.
