How to Draw Santa Claus

Step 1: Egg head

Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave most of the page below for the big red suit and the sack.

Step 2: The face

In the middle of the head, draw 2 big oval eyes. Add a round nose with a small smile under it.

Tip Black dot in each eye, with a tiny white shine.

Step 3: Santa hat

Start left of the head. Draw a thick band above the eyes, stopping on the right. Add a floppy hat.

Tip The hat flops to the right with a pompom on the tip.

Step 4: Beard and moustache

Under the nose, draw a fat moustache with 2 lobes. Then draw a big round beard from cheek to cheek.

Step 5: Coat and belt

Draw 2 neck lines under the chin. From the left, draw a big coat down and up to the right.

Tip Add a belt across the waist with a small square buckle.

Step 6: Long sleeves

From each shoulder, draw a long sleeve hanging down, wider at the top. Add a short cuff line.

Step 7: Mittens

At the bottom of each sleeve, draw a fat round mitten with a little thumb bump toward the body.

Step 8: Trousers

Start at the left end of the coat. Draw 2 trouser legs with a point between, stopping at the right.

Step 9: Boots and ground

Under each leg, draw a tall boot with a long round toe pointing out. Add a ground line under them.

Step 10: Sack of presents

Under the left mitten, draw a plump sack on the ground. Its narrow neck goes up into the fist.

Tip Draw a short tie across the neck, just under the fist.

Step 11: White fur, peach face

Colour the band, pompom, beard, moustache and mittens white, the face peach and the nose pink. Leave the eyes white.

Step 12: Red suit, brown sack

Colour the hat, coat, sleeves and trousers red, and the sack brown.

Step 13: Black belt and boots

Colour the belt and boots black. Go over your lines and Santa is done.
