How to Draw a Wolf Pup Howling
Draw a wolf pup howling in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.
Step 1: Big round head
Draw a big round head, a little above the middle of your paper.
Tip A pup's head is nearly as big as its body.
Step 2: Muzzle and nose
Start on the head, draw a muzzle pointing up with a mouth gap, stop on the head. Add a nose.
Tip Keep the muzzle short and chubby. Colour the nose black.
Step 3: Big eye
In the middle of the head draw 1 big round eye. Add a black dot and a white shine.
Step 4: Howling mouth
Start on the top jaw tip. Draw a short curve to the bottom jaw tip to close the howling mouth.
Step 5: Stubby ears
On the back of the head draw a short pointed ear. Peek a second ear out beside it.
Tip Draw a small shape inside the big ear.
Step 6: Sloping back
Draw a ground line. Start under the ear and draw the back sloping down to the ground.
Step 7: Back leg
Start on the back. Draw a big round thigh, then a paw, and stop on the ground.
Step 8: Chest and front leg
Start under the head. Draw 2 fluffy bumps, then the chest down to a big paw. Stop at the thigh.
Tip The leg gets a little thinner near the paw.
Step 9: Far leg
Start on the chest. Draw a second leg peeking out behind the first and stop on the ground.
Step 10: Toes
Draw 2 short toe lines on each big paw. Start on the ground and stop inside the paw.
Step 11: Fluffy tail
Start low on the back. Draw a short fat tail up to a round tip, then stop on the ground.
Tip A pup's tail is short and fluffy.
Step 12: Pink and red
Colour the inside of the ear pink. Colour the open mouth red.
Step 13: Grey fur
Go over your lines. Colour all the fur grey, around the pink ear. Leave the eye white.
