How to Draw a Sitting Badger
Draw a sitting badger in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big wide head.
Step 1: Big wide head
Near the top, draw a big egg head, wider at the cheeks than at the top.
Tip Make it about half of the whole badger.
Step 2: Two face stripes
Start on the head line near each top corner. Draw a wide stripe down to a round end and back.
Tip Leave a white stripe down the middle of the face.
Step 3: Big eyes
Inside each stripe, draw a big oval eye. Add a black pupil and a shine in each.
Step 4: Small round ears
On each top corner of the head, draw a small round ear. Add a curved line across each tip.
Step 5: Snout and nose
Draw an oval snout with a black nose. From the nose point, draw a line down to a w smile.
Step 6: Tall round body
Start under each cheek. Curve out and down for a tall round body, and join it underneath.
Tip The body is a little narrower than the head.
Step 7: Front legs
From each shoulder, draw a short front leg down, bending in to a round paw on the tummy.
Step 8: Hind legs
Low on each side, draw a round hind leg with a foot poking out sideways along the ground.
Step 9: Sharp claws
Draw 3 small pointed claws on the end of each paw: 2 front paws and 2 hind feet.
Step 10: Short tail
Start on the right side of the body. Draw a short fat tail out to a round tip and back.
Step 11: Ground line
Start left of the feet. Draw a flat ground line under the badger and stop past the right foot.
Step 12: Cream snout, claws
Colour the snout cream, around the nose. Colour all 12 claws cream too.
Step 13: Grey body
Colour the body and the tail grey, around the legs and claws.
Step 14: Black and white
Colour the 2 stripes, ears, front legs and hind legs black. Leave the face, eyes and ear tips white.
