How to Draw a Wolf Eel
Draw a wolf eel in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big head, long body.
Step 1: Big head, long body
From the blunt nose, draw a big round head and a long wavy body to a pointed tail, and back.
Tip Keep the body the same thickness most of the way, only getting thin near the tail.
Step 2: Big friendly eye
High on the head near the nose, draw a big round eye with a black dot and 2 shines.
Step 3: Wide smile
Start at the front of the nose and draw a wide smile, stopping just below the eye.
Step 4: Fin along the back
Start behind the head. Draw a soft wavy fin along the back and round the tail, stopping under the tummy.
Step 5: Gill and side fin
Behind the eye, draw a curved gill line from near the top to near the chin. Add a fin below.
Step 6: Soft blotches
Draw 5 soft pebble blotches along the body, each a different shape, not touching any line.
Step 7: Sand and seaweed
Under the eel, draw a wavy sand line from edge to edge. Grow one wavy seaweed frond up from it.
Step 8: Bubbles
Above the nose, draw 3 bubbles rising up, each a little bigger than the last.
Step 9: Sand and bubbles
Go over your lines. Colour the sand sandy right to the edges, and the 3 bubbles light blue.
Step 10: Pink cheek, green weed
Add a soft pink cheek behind the smile. Colour the seaweed frond green.
Step 11: Grey wolf eel
Colour the eel and its fins grey, around the pink cheek and the blotches. Leave the eye white.
Step 12: Dark blotches
Colour every blotch dark grey. Your wolf eel is done!
