How to Draw a Wok
Draw a wok in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: wok top.
Step 1: Wok top
A little left of the middle draw 1 big wide oval, about two-thirds as wide as the page.
Tip A wok is a wide round pan with sloping sides.
Step 2: Round bowl
Start at the oval's left end. Draw a wide rounded bowl under it and come back up to the right end.
Tip Let the sides slope in to a round bottom, not straight down like a pot.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
Under the oval draw 2 big egg eyes, a little apart. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 4: The inside
Inside the oval draw a second smaller oval, a finger in from the edge, so the wok has a rim.
Step 5: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile, and a flat oval cheek on each side of the face.
Step 6: The handles
Draw a long straight handle out from the oval's right end. Add a small round loop on the left end.
Step 7: Stir-fry
Inside the wok draw 3 little round veggie slices in a row, and a short wiggly noodle at each end.
Step 8: Sizzle
Above the wok draw 3 wiggly lines rising up for the sizzle, the middle one tallest.
Step 9: Stove line
Draw a long straight stove line under the wok, touching its round bottom.
Step 10: Orange veggies, pink cheeks
Colour the veggie slices orange and the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Wood handles
Colour the long handle and the little helper handle wood brown.
Step 12: Slate wok
Colour the inside light grey around the veggies, the rest slate around the face. Your wok is sizzling!
Tip Leave the eyes white.
