How to Draw a Menu
Draw a menu in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the front.
Step 1: The front
In the middle of your paper draw a tall box standing up, about twice as tall as it is wide.
Tip A menu is a tall folded card that stands up on the table.
Step 2: The folded back
From the top right corner draw a line slanting down and out, then straight back in to the bottom corner.
Tip Now the card is folded like a tent.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Low on the front draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each, leaving a white shine.
Step 4: The header
A little way down from the top, draw a line from side to side, making a band for the title.
Step 5: The word MENU
Inside the band write the word MENU in big capital letters.
Step 6: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile, with a small flat cheek beside each end.
Step 7: The dishes
Under the band draw 3 short lines down the left for dishes, and a shorter line beside each for prices.
Step 8: A little burger
Bottom left, draw a thin patty, a low dome bun above and a flat bun below, from end to end.
Step 9: Table and shadow
Draw a flat oval shadow around the bottom of the card, and a table line out from each end.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, tan back
Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink, and the folded back and the buns tan.
Step 11: Cream card, grey shadow
Colour the card cream below the band, around the cheeks and buns, and colour the shadow grey.
Tip Leave the eyes and the patty white.
Step 12: Red band, brown patty
Colour the patty brown and the header band red. Your menu is ready to order from!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a menu, drawn by you.
