How to Draw a Texas Flag
Draw a Texas flag in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the flag pole.
Step 1: The flag pole
On the left draw a tall thin pole from near the bottom to near the top. Add a ball.
Step 2: The waving flag
Start on the pole below the ball. Wave the top edge out to the right, come down, and wave back.
Step 3: The side band
Start on the top edge, a third of the way along. Draw straight down, stop at the bottom edge.
Step 4: The stripe line
Start halfway down the band line. Draw a wavy line across to the right edge, making 2 even stripes.
Step 5: One big star
In the middle of the band draw 1 big star with 5 points. Keep it inside the band.
Tip Start with the top point, then make all 5 points the same size.
Step 6: Wind lines
Off the right edge of the flag draw 3 short wind lines.
Step 7: Ground line
Draw a long flat ground line under the pole, from the left side to the right side.
Step 8: Yellow ball, grey pole
Colour the ball on top of the pole yellow and the pole grey.
Step 9: Red stripe
Colour the bottom stripe red. Leave the top stripe white.
Step 10: Blue band
Colour the band blue around the star, leaving the star white. Go over your lines. Your Texas flag is waving!
