How to Draw a Witch with Cauldron

Step 1: The head

On the left of your paper, above the middle, draw a big egg for the witch's head.

Tip Leave room above for a tall hat and on the right for the cauldron.

Step 2: Happy face

Draw 2 oval eyes with black dots looking to the right, and a big smile.

Tip Leave a tiny white shine in each black dot.

Step 3: Pointed hat

Draw a wide brim across the forehead. Start on it, draw a tall bent cone, and stop on the brim.

Tip The brim is wider than the head. The tip of the cone flops to one side.

Step 4: Hair bunches

Under the brim, draw a bunch of hair on each side of the face, down to the chin.

Step 5: Dress and shoes

Under the chin draw a dress like a bell. Add 2 pointy shoes peeking out below.

Step 6: Arms and hands

Draw one sleeve hanging down and one bent sleeve reaching to the right. Add a round hand on each.

Tip The reaching hand is a fist: it will hold the spoon.

Step 7: Cauldron rim

To the right, level with her elbow, draw a wide flat oval. Draw a smaller oval inside it.

Step 8: Fat round pot

From the rim's left end draw a fat pot round to its right end. Add 2 feet and the ground.

Step 9: The big spoon

Start above her fist. Draw a long spoon down into the pot. It gets wider and stops in the goo.

Tip Close the end with a wavy line where the spoon dips in.

Step 10: Bubbles

Above the pot draw 3 round bubbles floating up, each one smaller than the last.

Step 11: Peach skin

Colour the face and both hands peach. Colour a pink circle on each cheek.

Tip Keep the eyes white.

Step 12: Orange and green

Colour the hair orange. Colour the goo and the 3 bubbles green.

Step 13: Purple hat and dress

Colour the hat, the dress and both sleeves purple. Colour the spoon light brown.

Step 14: Dark grey cauldron

Colour the cauldron dark grey, around the green goo, and the shoes black. Your witch is stirring her brew!
