How to Draw a Farmer
Draw a farmer in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw an egg head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 oval eyes, a tiny U nose and a smile. Add C ears, starting and ending on the head.
Step 3: Straw hat
Draw a flat brim above the eyes. Add a crown as wide as the head, starting and ending on it.
Tip The brim sticks far past the head. Rub out the head lines inside the hat.
Step 4: Neck and T-shirt
From the chin draw 2 neck lines down to a boxy T-shirt with short sleeves.
Step 5: Arms
From each sleeve draw 2 lines down to the wrist, bending a little at the elbow, thinner at the bottom.
Step 6: Mitten hands
Start at one wrist corner and draw a mitten round to the other, with a thumb bump pointing down.
Step 7: Overalls
Draw overalls: a bib up on the chest, then 2 legs down from the shirt, with a point between.
Tip The bib is a little narrower than the shirt.
Step 8: Straps and buttons
From each bib corner draw a strap up to the shoulder. Put a round button under each strap.
Step 9: Boots and ground
Under each leg draw a tall boot, toe pointing out, with a heel block. Add a ground line underneath.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour pink cheeks, then the face, ears, neck, arms and hands peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Yellow hat, red shirt
Colour the hat yellow and the shirt red.
Step 12: Blue overalls, brown boots
Colour the overalls and straps blue and the boots brown. Go over your lines.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a farmer, drawn by you.
