How to Draw a Prince

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a prince in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

Near the top of your paper, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.

  2. Step 2: The face

Below the middle of the head, draw 2 oval eyes with black dots. Add a nose, smile and 2 eyebrows.

  3. Step 3: Hair

Start by the left eyebrow. Draw tufts over the head, ending at the right eyebrow. Add a hairline curve across.

  4. Step 4: Small crown

On the hair, draw a small crown with 3 zigzag points. Put a tiny ball on each point.

  5. Step 5: Neck and tunic

From the chin, draw 2 neck lines, then a short-sleeved tunic down to the hips. Add a belt and buckle.

  6. Step 6: Long sleeves

From each short sleeve, draw 2 lines down to the wrist, getting narrower. Add a cuff curve at the wrist.

  7. Step 7: Mitten hands

Under each arm, draw a mitten hand like the bottom of an egg. Add a little thumb pointing in.

  8. Step 8: Legs, boots and ground

From the hem, draw 2 legs down to tall boots, toes pointing out. Add a ground line under the boots.

  9. Step 9: The cape

Draw a cape behind: a pointed collar over each shoulder, then from under each hand down to a wavy hem.

Tip The cape hangs behind him, so only draw the parts you can see.

  10. Step 10: Yellow crown and buckle

Colour the crown, the 3 little balls and the buckle yellow.

  11. Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Colour pink cheeks, then the face, neck and hands peach around them.

    Tip Leave the eyes white.

  12. Step 12: Grey tights, blue tunic

Colour the legs grey for tights. Colour the tunic and sleeves blue, around the buckle.

  13. Step 13: Red cape, brown hair

Colour the cape red. Colour the hair and boots brown, around the crown. Your prince is done!
