How to Draw a Crawling Baby
Draw a crawling baby in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big head.
Step 1: The big head
On the left of your paper, draw a big round head, a little fuller at the cheeks.
Tip A baby's head is huge: about as tall as its body.
Step 2: The face
Left of the middle draw 2 big eyes with black dots, a tiny U nose and a wide smile.
Tip The face sits to the left because the baby is looking that way.
Step 3: Ear and hair
Add a C ear on the right and a tuft flicking up on top. Start and stop on the head.
Step 4: The body
From behind the head draw a long bean lying down: along the back, round the bottom, back under the tummy.
Tip Make the body about as long as 2 heads.
Step 5: Nappy
On the bottom draw the nappy: a curved line down across the waist, then a curve for the leg hole.
Tip The leg hole is a hill shape with a point at the back.
Step 6: Front arm
From the chest draw a chubby arm straight down to a flat mitten on the floor, and back up.
Tip Rub out the body line inside the arm.
Step 7: Bent leg
From the leg hole draw a thigh down to the knee, a shin along the floor and a little foot.
Tip Rub out the body line inside the leg. The knee rests on the floor.
Step 8: Other arm
From under the chin draw the other arm reaching forward and down to a mitten on the floor.
Step 9: Other knee
From the tummy draw a round knee down to the floor and up to the thigh.
Step 10: The floor
Draw a long straight floor line under the hands, the knees and the foot.
Step 11: Pink cheeks, peach face
Colour 2 pink cheeks, then the face around them and the ear peach. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Peach body
Colour the body, both arms, the legs and the foot peach. Leave the nappy white.
Step 13: Brown hair
Colour the tuft of hair brown. Go over your lines and your crawling baby is done!
