How to Draw Muscles
Draw muscles in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, in the middle, draw an egg head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room on both sides of the head for the fists.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 big eyes, brows, a U nose and a smile. Add C ears, starting and stopping on the head.
Step 3: Tufty hair
Start on the left side above the ear. Draw round tufts over the top, down to the right side.
Step 4: Neck and vest
Draw 2 neck lines under the chin. From one, draw a vest with no sleeves round to the other.
Step 5: Flexed arms
Start at each shoulder. Draw a bent arm up to the wrist by the head, then back to the armpit.
Tip The bump on top of the arm is the bicep. Make it big.
Step 6: Fists
On top of each forearm draw a round fist, a bit wider than the arm, with a thumb curve.
Step 7: Bicep curves
Under each bicep bump, draw a small curve that starts and stops inside the arm.
Step 8: Shorts
Start at the vest's bottom left corner. Draw shorts, pointed between the legs, back up to the right corner.
Step 9: Legs
From the shorts, draw 2 lines for each leg, getting narrower down to the ankle.
Step 10: Shoes and ground
Under each leg draw a shoe, toe pointing out, with a heel and a long toe. Add a ground line.
Step 11: Peach skin
Colour the face, ears, neck, arms, fists and legs peach, with a pink circle on each cheek.
Tip Keep the eyes white.
Step 12: Red vest, blue shorts
Colour the vest red and the shorts blue.
Step 13: Black hair and shoes
Colour the hair and the shoes black. Go over your lines and your strong man is done.
