How to Draw a Witch Broom

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a witch broom in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: handle.

Print

  1. Step 1: Handle

Start near the top. Draw 2 lines straight down side by side, stopping just past the middle. Join their tops.

  2. Step 2: Bristles

Start near the bottom of the left line. Draw a fan with 6 straw points, stopping on the right line.

Tip The bristles are a big fan, much wider than the handle.

  3. Step 3: Big eyes

In the middle of the bristles, draw 2 big round eyes. Colour black dots in them, leaving a white shine.

  4. Step 4: Happy smile

Under the eyes, draw a wide U smile, starting under one pupil and stopping under the other.

  5. Step 5: Twine bands

Across the top of the bristles draw 2 pairs of lines from side to side, for twine.

  6. Step 6: Bristle lines

From the lower twine band, draw 4 long lines down to the bottom, 2 on each side of the face.

  7. Step 7: Rosy cheeks

Draw a small oval cheek under the outside of each eye.

  8. Step 8: Peach cheeks

    Colour the 2 cheeks peach.

  9. Step 9: Tan bristles

Colour the bristles tan, around the eyes, the cheeks and the twine bands. Leave the eyes white.

  10. Step 10: Red twine, brown handle

Colour the 2 twine bands red and the handle brown, down to the twine. Your witch's broom is done!
