How to Draw a Bathrobe

12 steps · Medium · about 9 min

Draw a bathrobe in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the neck hole.

Print

  1. Step 1: The neck hole

Draw a rainbow near the top. From its left end draw a U down and up to its right end.

Tip The rainbow is the back of the collar, 3 fingers wide.

  2. Step 2: Shoulders and long sleeves

From each rainbow end draw a long sleeve down past the waist, then back up to the armpit.

  3. Step 3: The long body

From each armpit draw a side down, leaning out, nearly to the bottom. Join them with a drooping hem.

  4. Step 4: The shawl collar

From each rainbow end draw a wide soft collar band down across the chest to a point at the waist.

Tip The right collar tucks under the left one.

  5. Step 5: The belt

Under the collar draw 2 belt lines from left across to right. Add a round knot on the left.

  6. Step 6: Belt ends

From the bottom of the knot draw 2 belt ends hanging down, one a little longer than the other.

  7. Step 7: Two big eyes

Below the belt draw 2 big round eyes, one eye apart. Colour a black dot in each, with a shine.

  8. Step 8: Smile and cheeks

Draw a wide U smile from eye to eye. Add a flat oval cheek under the outside of each eye.

  9. Step 9: The hanger

Under the rainbow draw a low tent joining its ends. From the point draw a hook up and curling left.

  10. Step 10: The rail

Start near the left edge, level with the hook's tip. Draw a straight rail across to the right edge.

  11. Step 11: Pink cheeks, sky robe

Colour the cheeks pink. Colour the robe sky blue around them, leaving the neck hole, belt, collar and eyes white.

  12. Step 12: Navy belt

Colour the belt, the knot and the ends navy. Go over your lines and your bathrobe is done!
