How to Draw a Winter Boy
Draw a winter boy in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room above for a hat.
Step 2: The face
Draw eyes, a nose, a smile and eyebrows. Start each C ear on the head and stop lower down.
Step 3: Knit hat
Draw a wide hat band across the forehead, wider than the head. Add a dome on top with a pompom.
Step 4: Scarf
Under the chin draw a wide smile-shaped scarf band with round ends. Hang a scarf tail from its right end.
Step 5: Puffy coat
Under the scarf draw a puffy coat with round shoulders and a wide hem, and a zip down the middle.
Tip The hem sits a little below the middle of the page.
Step 6: Arms
Start at each shoulder and draw a puffy sleeve hanging down, bending softly at the elbow. Stop beside the hem.
Step 7: Mittens
Draw a round mitten at the end of each sleeve, with a little thumb pointing in.
Step 8: Snow pants
Under the hem draw 2 fat legs for snow pants, narrowing toward the ankle, with a line across each ankle.
Step 9: Boots and snowy ground
Draw a chunky boot under each leg, toes out. Add a long snowy ground line with 2 snow mounds.
Step 10: Peach face, pink cheeks
Colour the face and ears peach with pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Red and blue
Colour the hat, scarf and mittens red, leaving the pompom white. Colour the coat and sleeves blue.
Step 12: Navy pants, brown boots
Colour the snow pants navy and the boots brown, leaving the snow white. Your winter boy is done!
