How to Draw a Winged Wolf

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a winged wolf in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

In the middle, draw a big dome for the head. Add 3 fur tufts each side and a round chin.

Tip Leave room on both sides for the wings.

  2. Step 2: Ears and crest

On each top corner draw a wide round-tipped ear with a triangle inside. Add 3 fur points between the ears.

  3. Step 3: Eyes and brows

Below the middle of the head draw 2 big round eyes with black dots. Add a short brow above each.

Tip Level brows make the wolf look friendly.

  4. Step 4: Snout and nose

Under the eyes draw a big teardrop snout past the chin. Add a black triangle nose and a w smile.

Tip A wolf's snout is broad, with a big nose.

  5. Step 5: Chest and bib

Start under each cheek. Draw a short C chest, stopping a hand below the chin. Add a U bib.

Tip The bib is like a long egg, narrower than the chest.

  6. Step 6: Ground and legs

Draw a ground line below the chest. From each chest line's bottom, draw a big C down to it.

Tip Each back leg is a fat rainbow on its side, poking past the chest.

  7. Step 7: Front legs

Start on each chest line. Draw a U down to a mitten paw, up to the bib. Add 2 toes.

Tip The paw is wider than the leg.

  8. Step 8: Back paws

Start on each back leg near the ground. Draw a bun humping over to stop on the front paw.

Tip The back paw peeks out lower and flatter than the front paw.

  9. Step 9: Bushy tail

From the right back leg, draw a fat tail curling up to a soft point, then down to the ground.

Tip Fat all the way, with a soft point at the top.

  10. Step 10: Wing tops

From behind the head, under each ear, draw a long arch up and out to a wing tip.

Tip The 2 wing tops open like a wide V.

  11. Step 11: Finger feathers

From each wing tip draw 5 round feathers, like fat U bumps, stepping down to the wolf's shoulder.

Tip 5 even bumps, like the fingers of a mitten.

  12. Step 12: Small feathers

Inside each wing, draw a row of 4 U bumps under the top edge, out to the tip.

  13. Step 13: Cream and sky blue

Colour the snout, the bib and inside each ear cream. Colour the 2 wings sky blue.

  14. Step 14: Grey fur

Go over your lines. Colour the fur grey, around the cream parts. Leave the eyes white.
