How to Draw a Pudu
Draw a pudu in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.
Step 1: Big round head
Near the top left draw a big round head with soft cheeks. Leave lots of room on the right.
Step 2: Eyes and nose
Draw 2 big eyes with black dots and a triangle nose. From the nose draw a line into a smile.
Step 3: Antlers and ears
On top of the head draw 2 tiny spike antlers pointing up. On each top corner draw a leaf ear.
Step 4: Bean body
From the back of the head draw a big soft bean body: a long back, a round bottom, a tummy.
Tip No neck: the head sits right on the shoulders.
Step 5: Two legs
From the chest, draw a front leg that gets thinner down to a split hoof. Add a bent back leg.
Step 6: Far legs
Behind the front leg draw a thinner leg down to a hoof. Add one in front of the back leg.
Step 7: Little tail
On the top corner of the bottom draw a little leaf-shaped tail pointing up, like a small flag.
Step 8: Ground and ferns
Draw a ground line under the hooves. From it, on each side, draw a curved fern with round leaflets.
Step 9: Ear insides
Colour the ear insides peach. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Colour it brown
Go over your lines, then colour the head, ears, antlers, body, legs and tail brown, around the peach ear insides.
Step 11: Hooves and ferns
Colour the hooves slate grey and the ferns leaf green.
