How to Draw a Moose
Draw a moose in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big soft head.
Step 1: Big soft head
Near the top left draw a big soft egg head, a little wider at the top.
Tip Leave room above for the antlers and on the right for the body.
Step 2: Leaf ears
On each side of the head, near the top, draw a leaf ear with a small leaf inside.
Step 3: Big eyes
On the head, a little to the left, draw 2 big oval eyes with black dots.
Tip Leave a tiny white shine in each eye.
Step 4: Droopy nose
Under the eyes draw a big droopy oval nose hanging below the chin. Add 2 nostrils and a smile.
Tip Rub out the head line inside the nose.
Step 5: Paddle antlers
From the top of the head draw 2 short stalks. Each opens into a flat paddle with 4 round fingers.
Tip Each paddle is like an open hand.
Step 6: Humped back
Start on the head, under the right ear. Draw over a hump, along the back, round the bottom, and stop.
Step 7: Front leg
Draw a ground line. From under the chin, draw the chest and leg down to a hoof, then back up.
Tip The leg is thick at the top and thinner near the hoof.
Step 8: Tummy and back leg
From the front leg draw the tummy. Then a round thigh down to a hoof and up to the bottom.
Tip The back leg bends back just above the hoof.
Step 9: Far legs
Under the tummy draw 2 more legs peeking out: one leaning back, one leaning forward.
Tip Only part of each far leg shows. All 4 hooves stand on the ground.
Step 10: Hooves and tail
Draw a short line across each leg to make 4 hooves. Add a short tail on the bottom.
Step 11: Tan nose, peach ears
Colour the droopy nose tan. Colour the middle of each ear peach.
Step 12: Antlers and hooves
Colour both antlers sand and all 4 hooves dark grey.
Step 13: Colour it brown
Colour the rest of the moose brown, around the tan nose and peach ear middles. Leave the eyes white.
