How to Draw a Whoopie Pie
Draw a whoopie pie in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
On the left, below the middle, draw a long flat oval plate. Add a rim oval inside.
Step 2: The top cake
Above the plate draw a big dome for the top cake, a round hump with a flat bottom.
Tip A whoopie pie is 2 soft domed cakes with thick cream squeezed between.
Step 3: The cream
Under the dome draw thick cream from the left corner round to the right, bulging out with a wavy bottom.
Step 4: The bottom cake
Under the cream draw the bottom cake: an upside-down hump from the cream's left edge round to the right.
Tip It sits on the plate, tucked behind the cream.
Step 5: Crumb dots
Draw 3 tiny crumb dots in a slanted line up the top cake, and one dot on the bottom cake.
Step 6: A glass of milk
Right of the plate draw a flat oval glass top. From its ends draw sides down to a curved bottom.
Step 7: The milk
Just under the glass top draw a gently bowed line from side to side for the milk.
Step 8: The table
Draw a long table line under the plate and the glass, just touching their bottoms.
Step 9: Sky blue glass
Go over your lines. Colour the glass sky blue above the milk, and leave the milk white.
Step 10: Sky blue plate
Colour the plate sky blue too, around the whoopie pie.
Step 11: Chocolate cakes
Colour both cakes chocolate brown and leave the cream white. Your whoopie pie is done!
