How to Draw an Apple Pie Slice
Draw an apple pie slice in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the top.
Step 1: The top
In the middle of your paper draw a triangle pointing left. Bow its right side out.
Tip Keep the bottom edge flat, like a slice lying down.
Step 2: Bumpy crust
Along the bowed side draw a fat crust of 5 round bumps, from the front corner to the back corner.
Step 3: The cut side
From the point draw a short line down, a long line along the bottom, then up to the crust.
Step 4: Bottom crust
Near the bottom of the cut side, draw a line from end to end for the bottom crust.
Step 5: Apple chunks
Between the lines draw 3 little rounded apple chunks, each one tipped a different way.
Step 6: Lattice strips
Across the top draw 2 fat strips, flat like the front edge, from the slanted edge into the crust.
Step 7: Criss-cross strips
Draw 3 strips straight up from the front edge to the slanted edge or the crust, over the first strips.
Tip Rub out the bits of the first strips inside the new ones.
Step 8: A plate
Draw a big flat oval plate behind the slice, passing under it. Add an oval inside for the rim.
Step 9: The table
Draw a table line under the plate from well left to well right, just touching its bottom.
Step 10: Cream apples
Colour the apple chunks cream.
Step 11: Tan crust
Colour the bumpy crust, the lattice strips and the bottom crust tan.
Step 12: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue, going around the slice.
Step 13: Ginger filling
Go over your lines, then colour the filling ginger, going around the apples and strips. Your pie is done!
