How to Draw a Poke Bowl
Draw a poke bowl in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
Above the middle draw a big wide oval, nearly as wide as the page. Draw a second oval just inside.
Tip We look a little down into the bowl to see the toppings.
Step 2: The bowl
From the left end of the oval draw a deep U to the right end. Add a foot underneath.
Step 3: Fish cubes
On the left of the rice draw 3 big tilted squares in a slanting row, each leaning a different way.
Tip A slanting row, not 2 and 1: that would look like a face.
Step 4: Avocado fan
On the right of the rice draw 3 fat half-moon slices, flat side down, fanned out and overlapping.
Step 5: Seaweed
Low in the middle of the rice draw a flat seaweed strip with 2 soft waves.
Step 6: Beans
Beside the seaweed draw 3 little oval beans in a slanting row, touching each other.
Step 7: Stripes and table
Draw 2 bowed stripes round the bowl under the rim, side to side. Draw a table line under the foot.
Step 8: Chopsticks
Across the back right of the bowl draw 2 long thin sticks, poking past the rim at both ends.
Tip The chopsticks rest across the rim.
Step 9: Pink fish, green avocado
Go over your lines. Colour the fish cubes pink, and the avocado and beans light green.
Step 10: Wood sticks, dark seaweed
Colour the chopsticks wood brown and the seaweed dark green.
Step 11: Navy bowl, white rice
Colour the bowl and foot navy blue. Leave the rim, the band and the rice white. Ready to eat!
