How to Draw a Wheelchair
Draw a wheelchair in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big back wheel.
Step 1: Big back wheel
On the right draw 3 circles, one inside the other, and a tiny hub. Add a road line under them.
Tip Trace round a cup. Keep the 2 outer circles close together for the fat tyre.
Step 2: Spokes
Draw 3 straight lines through the hub, like cutting a pizza. Stop them at the inner circle.
Step 3: The seat
Above the wheel, a little in front, draw a flat fat pill lying level, as wide as the wheel.
Step 4: Back cushion
Draw a tall stick up from the back of the seat. Add a thin cushion on its front.
Step 5: Push handle
Start at the top of the stick and draw a short handle bending back. End it with a round grip.
Step 6: Armrest
Start half way up the back. Draw a level stick forward and stop above the seat. Add a post down.
Step 7: Frame and little wheel
Draw a stick from the seat front to a small wheel. Add one from the seat back to the hub.
Step 8: Footrest
Low on the front stick draw a short stick forward. End it in a flat plate, not touching the wheel.
Step 9: Grey frame
Colour all the fat sticks of the frame grey, and the hub too.
Step 10: Blue seat and back
Colour the seat cushion and the back cushion blue.
Step 11: Dark tyres, black grip
Colour the fat tyre and the little front wheel dark grey, and the grip black.
