How to Draw a Fishing Boat
Draw a fishing boat in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the waves.
Step 1: The waves
Start at the left edge, below the middle. Draw wave bumps across the page and stop at the right edge.
Step 2: The hull
Start on the waves left of the middle. Sweep up the front, slope the deck down, stop on the waves.
Step 3: Porthole eyes
On the hull draw 2 big round portholes for eyes. Colour a pupil in each and leave a white sparkle.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
From the left eye, draw a big U smile over to the right eye. Add a cheek by each eye.
Step 5: The cabin
Start on the deck left of the middle. Draw a big upside-down U with a domed roof. Stop on deck.
Tip The cabin is almost half as wide as the boat.
Step 6: The funnel
Start on the roof. Draw a short fat chimney that flares out at the top and stop on the roof.
Step 7: Smoke puffs
Draw a small round puff on the funnel. Above it add a bigger puff, then the biggest puff on top.
Step 8: Window and portholes
Draw a pill window in the cabin, split from top down to bottom. Add 2 portholes on the hull.
Step 9: The fishing rod
Draw an oval on the front deck. From it, draw a long rod ending over the water. Add a reel.
Step 10: Line and fish
Drop a line from the rod tip into the sea. On its end hang a fish with a V tail.
Step 11: Yellow funnel, grey smoke
Colour the funnel yellow, going round the top rim. Colour the 3 smoke puffs grey.
Step 12: Pink cheeks, orange fish
Colour the cheeks pink and the fish orange.
Step 13: Blue sea and hull
Colour the sea and portholes light blue, around the fish. Colour the hull and funnel rim blue, around the face.
Tip Go around the portholes. Leave the eyes and the cabin white.
