How to Draw a Wedding Dress
Draw a wedding dress in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: sweetheart top.
Step 1: Sweetheart top
Start near the top, left of middle. Draw 2 bumps with a dip between, and stop on the right.
Tip The top edge is about 3 fingers wide, like a heart's top.
Step 2: The top part
From each end of the top edge, curve down to a narrow waist and stop. Join them with a smile.
Step 3: Flowing skirt
From each end of the waist, draw a long line curving down and out. Stop near the bottom.
Tip The skirt gets wider and wider, like a bell.
Step 4: Frilly hem
Start at the bottom of the right skirt line. Draw 7 soft bumps across to the left skirt line.
Step 5: Two big eyes
Below the waist draw 2 big egg eyes. Add a big black dot in each, with a white shine.
Step 6: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 7: Sash and rose
Draw a sash smile under the waist, from the left edge across to the right. Add a swirly rose circle.
Step 8: Rows of lace
Draw 2 rows of little bumps across the skirt, edge to edge: one below the smile, one above the hem.
Step 9: Straps and hanger
From each top corner, draw a thin strap up to a low tent. Add a hook curling left on top.
Tip Each strap is 2 lines close together.
Step 10: Rail and sparkles
Draw a long rail across, wider than the dress, with the hook over it. Add 4 sparkles round the dress.
Step 11: Cream dress
Go over your lines. Colour the straps and dress cream. Leave the eyes, cheeks, sash and rose white for now.
Step 12: Sash, rose, cheeks
Colour the sash sky blue, and the rose and the cheeks pink.
Step 13: Yellow sparkles
Colour the sparkles yellow, and your wedding dress is done!
