How to Draw a Gravy Boat
Draw a gravy boat in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim and spout.
Step 1: The rim and spout
Above the middle draw a long thin oval for the top. Pull its left end up into a pointed spout.
Step 2: The boat body
Start under the spout. Draw a long low boat curve round the bottom and up to the oval's right end.
Tip Keep it much longer than it is tall, like a little boat.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the side of the boat draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile, and a flat oval cheek below each eye.
Step 5: The little foot
Under the middle of the boat draw a short little foot, wider at the bottom.
Step 6: The handle
Start under the rim's right end. Draw a fat loop up high and back to the side lower down.
Step 7: The saucer
Under the boat draw a long flat oval saucer and a smaller oval inside, both going behind the foot.
Step 8: A gravy drip
Just under the spout's tip draw a little drip of gravy, pointy at the top and round at the bottom.
Step 9: Table and sparkles
Start near the left edge, draw a table line under the saucer, stop near the right edge. Add 3 sparkles.
Step 10: Pink and yellow
Go over your lines. Colour the cheeks pink and the sparkles yellow.
Step 11: Sky blue boat
Colour the boat, its handle and foot sky blue, around the pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Blue saucer
Colour the saucer blue, around the sky blue foot.
Step 13: Brown gravy
Colour the gravy inside the rim and the drip brown. Your gravy boat is ready!
