How to Draw a Gong
Draw a gong in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the gong.
Step 1: The gong
In the middle of your paper draw 1 big circle, as big as your fist, for the gong.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Below the middle of the circle draw 2 big egg eyes side by side. Add a black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile, and a small flat cheek at each end.
Step 4: The boss and rim
Above the eyes draw a small circle for the middle bump. Draw a light circle just inside the gong's edge.
Step 5: The frame posts
On each side draw a tall thin post, like a long upside-down U, from low down to above the gong.
Step 6: The top bar
Across the tops of both posts, draw a long thin box for the top bar.
Step 7: Hanging cords
From the bar draw 2 short slanted lines down to the top of the gong, 1 each side.
Step 8: The mallet
Under the gong draw a mallet lying down: a thin stick with a round head on the right.
Step 9: Notes and sound
Draw a small music note outside each post, and a curved sound line each side of the gong.
Step 10: The floor
Start left of the frame and draw a flat floor line under the posts, stopping right of the frame.
Step 11: Gold gong
Colour the gong yellow around the bump and the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Pink cheeks, orange bump
Colour the cheeks pink and the middle bump orange.
Step 13: Brown frame
Colour the posts, the top bar and the mallet brown. Bong!
