13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.

Print

  1. Step 1: The rim

Left of the middle, draw a flat oval a hand across. Draw a smaller oval just inside it.

  2. Step 2: The can

Start at each end of the oval. Draw a long line down, stopping near the bottom. Join with a smile.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

On the front of the can, draw 2 big egg eyes. Add a big black dot and a white shine.

  4. Step 4: The spout

On the right side, draw a long tube slanting up right, a hand long, getting thinner to the end.

Tip Wide where it joins the can, narrow at the tip.

  5. Step 5: Smile and cheeks

Under the eyes, draw a wide U smile. Add a small flat oval cheek beside each end.

  6. Step 6: The sprinkler

On the end of the spout, draw a tilted oval wider than the tube. Put 5 little dots on it.

  7. Step 7: Handle and band

Draw a thick rainbow handle, its feet on the back of the rim. Under the rim, draw a smile band.

  8. Step 8: Water drops

Under the sprinkler, draw 3 little teardrops falling, points up.

  9. Step 9: Ground and shadow

Draw a long ground line right under the can. Add a thin flat half oval under it for its shadow.

  10. Step 10: A flower

On the left, draw a small flower with 5 petals. Start under it, draw a stem, stop on the ground.

  11. Step 11: Pink cheeks, yellow flower

Go over your lines. Colour the cheeks pink and the flower's middle yellow.

  12. Step 12: Blue drops, green can

Colour the drops sky blue. Colour the can under the band and the spout green, leaving the eyes white.

  13. Step 13: Grey metal and shadow

Colour the shadow light grey, then the sprinkler, handle, rim and band dark grey. Your watering can is done!
