How to Draw a Polaroid Photo
Draw a Polaroid photo in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the white card.
Step 1: The white card
In the middle of your paper draw a tall box, a little taller than wide, standing on the table.
Tip Keep the sides straight up and down.
Step 2: The picture window
Inside the card draw a second box, leaving a thin edge on top and sides and a THICK strip below.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the thick bottom strip draw 2 big egg eyes a little apart. Add a black dot with a shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile from eye to eye. Add a little oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Hills and sun
In the picture draw 2 soft hills across the lower half, side to side. Add a round sun top right.
Step 6: Cloud and sun rays
In the top left of the picture draw a little cloud with 3 puffs. Add 5 rays on the sun.
Step 7: A little tree
Between the hills draw a tiny tree: a puff of leaves on a short trunk that widens at the bottom.
Step 8: Sparkles and table
Add 4 sparkles in the air, and a table line under the card from far left to far right.
Step 9: Yellow sun, pink cheeks
Colour the sun yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Sky and hills
Colour the sky light blue around the sun and cloud, and the hills and leaves green. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Brown trunk
Colour the tree trunk brown. Your instant photo is ready for the fridge!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a Polaroid photo, drawn by you.
