How to Draw a Warehouse

12 steps · Medium · about 9 min

Draw a warehouse in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the long box.

Print

  1. Step 1: The long box

A little left of the middle draw a long low box for the warehouse, much wider than it is tall.

  2. Step 2: The roof ledge

On top of the box draw a long thin flat ledge that sticks out a little past each side.

  3. Step 3: The big roller door

Draw a big middle door from the bottom line up, across, and down to the bottom. Add 5 shutter lines.

  4. Step 4: High windows

High up, above the door, draw 3 small flat windows in a row, each with a line down the middle.

  5. Step 5: A little side door

Left of the big door draw a small door standing on the bottom line, with a round knob.

  6. Step 6: The ground line

From each bottom corner draw a flat ground line going out, short on the left and long on the right.

  7. Step 7: Two crates

On the long ground line at the right, stack 2 square crates and draw an X on each.

  8. Step 8: The sun

Draw a round sun with 8 short rays in the top right.

  9. Step 9: A cloud

Draw a puffy cloud up in the middle: a row of bumps over the top and 2 flatter bumps underneath.

  10. Step 10: Yellow sun, blue windows

Colour the sun yellow and the 3 windows sky blue.

  11. Step 11: Orange doors, grey walls

Colour both doors orange, then colour the walls grey around the doors and windows.

  12. Step 12: Wood crates, slate ledge

Colour the crates wood brown and the roof ledge slate. Go over your lines, and your warehouse is done!
