How to Draw a Volleyball
Draw a volleyball in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the ball.
Step 1: The ball
In the middle of your paper draw one big round circle, as big as your fist.
Tip Go round slowly in one smooth sweep.
Step 2: Two big eyes
In the middle of the ball draw 2 big round eyes with a big black dot and a white shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Start under the left eye, draw one wide U smile, stop under the right eye. Add a cheek each side.
Step 4: Soft triangle
Around the face draw a soft triangle with puffy sides, one corner above the eyes and one beside each cheek.
Step 5: Pinwheel swooshes
From each corner of the triangle draw a short swoosh out to the edge, all leaning the same way.
Step 6: Stripe lines
From the edge beside each swoosh, draw a curve round next to a side, stopping on the next swoosh.
Step 7: Ground and shadow
Draw a ground line across the paper, just touching the bottom of the ball. Add a flat oval shadow.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 3 sparkle stars around the ball, like plus signs with curved sides.
Step 9: Yellow stripes and stars
Go over your lines, then colour the 3 curved stripes and the 3 sparkle stars yellow.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, grey shadow
Colour the cheeks pink and the flat shadow under the ball grey.
Step 11: Blue panels
Colour the 3 outside panels blue, right up to the edge. Leave the eyes white. Your volleyball is done!
