How to Draw a Heater

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a heater in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the heater box.

Print

  1. Step 1: The heater box

In the middle draw a tall box with big rounded corners, a bit taller than it is wide.

  2. Step 2: The grille

Inside it, in the upper part, draw a smaller rounded box for the grille, a finger in from the sides.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

On the panel under the grille draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.

  4. Step 4: Smile and cheeks

Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from eye to eye, and a small oval cheek at each end.

  5. Step 5: Grille slats

Across the grille draw 4 lines, evenly spaced, each from the grille's left edge to its right edge.

  6. Step 6: Knob and light

Above the grille draw a small round knob on the left and a tiny round light on the right.

  7. Step 7: Feet and floor

Under the box draw a square foot at each end, and a floor line from left across to the right.

  8. Step 8: Warm air

Above the heater draw 3 wiggly warm-air lines rising up, the middle one tallest.

  9. Step 9: Orange grille, pink cheeks

Go over your lines, then colour the grille and the little light orange and the cheeks pink.

  10. Step 10: Grey knob and feet

Colour the knob and the 2 feet grey.

  11. Step 11: Red heater

Colour the box red, around the grille, knob and face. Leave the eyes white. Your heater is done!
