How to Draw a Ceiling Fan
Draw a ceiling fan in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: ceiling, rod and motor.
Step 1: Ceiling, rod and motor
Draw a ceiling line across the top. From its middle draw a short rod down to a flat oval motor.
Tip Everything hangs DOWN from the ceiling line.
Step 2: The light globe
Under the motor draw a big round glass globe like a bowl, as wide as the motor, hanging down.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the glass globe draw 2 big egg eyes close together. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile, eye to eye, and a little oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Two side blades
From each side of the motor draw a long flat blade with a rounded tip, almost to the paper's edge.
Step 6: Pull chain
Start at the globe's bottom, right of the middle. Draw a thin chain down and stop at a little bead.
Step 7: Pink cheeks
Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink.
Step 8: Yellow light
Colour the light globe soft yellow, going around the cheeks and leaving the eyes white.
Step 9: Grey motor
Colour the rod, the motor and the little bead grey.
Step 10: Wood blades
Colour both blades wood brown, and your ceiling fan is ready to spin!
