How to Draw a Jester Hat
Draw a jester hat in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the soft cap.
Step 1: The soft cap
Below the middle, start low on the left. Draw a big soft dome over and stop level on the right.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the cap, below the middle, draw 2 big egg eyes an eye apart. Colour a black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye, and a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: The headband
Under the cap draw a headband: a line across, down each side, then a flat line along the bottom.
Step 5: The left point
From the left of the dome draw a fat point sweeping up and out, thinning to a drooping tip.
Step 6: The right point
Do the same on the right: a fat point sweeping up and out, thinning to a drooping tip.
Step 7: The middle point
From the top of the dome draw a tall fat point that bends right and thins to a drooping tip.
Step 8: Three bells
Under the drooping tip of each point draw a small round bell.
Step 9: Diamonds
Along the headband draw 3 little diamonds, one in the middle and one each side.
Step 10: Sparkles and table
Draw a sparkle star on each side of the hat, and a table line under the band.
Step 11: Yellow and pink
Go over your lines. Colour the middle point, bells, diamonds and sparkles yellow, and the cheeks pink.
Step 12: Red cap, purple points
Colour the cap red around the eyes and cheeks, then the band and side points purple, around the diamonds.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
